This was a simple cupcake display I made for a surprise party of 5. It ranged from the ages of 4-58 and it was boys and girls. Not an easy task. Luckily everyone loved the way it all tasted, and looked.

It's Been A While

It is sad that it has been so long since I have been on here. I have been trying to take care of some personal issues. While re-evaluating what it is I want for this blog and for myself. I see so many beautiful blogs and sites with such wonderful content and I feel such pressure. I often wonder as creative as I am in some things. Am I really cut out for this? But anything to do with decorating and planning a party or something crafty. I am totally in love with and always want to try. I really loved all the printable items I have seen around and that is what made me want to create this blog. Hoping to showcase my own work. But when it comes down to it. I do not feel I come close to competing with the lovely ladies on here already. I sit on my computer just looking through sites and realizing that it takes one special lady and talent to do what these ladies create.

So even though I wanted to start out 2011 with a bang it is more like a little firecracker and having to really see what it is I want to do and get out of all this. I really just want to chance to create and to design and to put smiles on faces. But after spending money on so many programs and researching so many things. I still feel like there are so many things yet in my way.

Of course I would love some tips and advice. But I also understand it is a competitive world out there. I just thought when I did all this. It would be something I could do from home and be happy with since all my health issues have kept me from working anymore.

So yes it has been a while. But I do hope to be able to start putting some new items on here in the future and I would love to feature anyone who is interested. As much as I love to show others work. I feel I will not be satisfied without showing my own. First things first though. I need to learn how to take pictures!

Am I the only one? I never seem to be able to capture the real beauty in some of my items. I look at them face to face and they just never seem right when I take their picture. So many things in the way and so many things trying to beat me down. But I have made a promise to myself I will push myself because I have nothing left if I don't.
